“Estoy en el programa Parents Advocating for Student Excellence (PASE). Lo que me inspiró a unirme a este programa fueron mis hijos y mi deseo de aprender cosas nuevas e implementarlas en casa. Este programa me ha ayudado en la manera en que debo tratar a cada uno de mis hijos y cómo darles consejos. También he aprendido a trabajar en equipo con mi esposo e implementar todo lo que he aprendido en cada clase, por ejemplo: educación financiera, metas para el futuro, conversaciones sobre la universidad y la importancia de la lectura para los niños.” - Beatriz M.

“I am in the Parents Advocating for Student Excellence (PASE) program. What inspired me to join this program were my kids and my desire to learn new things and implement them at home. This program has helped with the way I need to treat each of my kids and how to give them advice. I have also learned about working as a team with my husband and implementing everything I’ve learned in each class, for example: financial literacy, goals for the future, having conversations about college, and how important reading is for kids.” - Beatriz M.

El año pasado, 250 mochilas no fueron suficientes.

En 2025, más de 2,000 personas asistieron al Get Up! Get Moving! Health & Fitness Fair de The Concilio. Y aunque nos sentimos orgullosos de haber entregado 250 mochilas con útiles escolares, sabemos que muchos más niños pudieron haberse beneficiado de nuestro apoyo.

Este año, nos hemos propuesto una meta más grande:
Ningún niño debería irse sin una mochila para la escuela.

El 8 de agosto, familias de toda nuestra comunidad asistirán a nuestra feria anual para acceder a recursos de salud, servicios comunitarios y apoyo para el regreso a clases. Actualmente estamos recaudando donaciones para nuestro Backpack Drive, con el objetivo de que cada niño que asista pueda comenzar el año escolar preparado y con confianza.

Last year, 250 backpacks weren’t enough.

In 2025, more than 2,000 people attended The Concilio’s Get Up! Get Moving! Health & Fitness Fair, and while we were proud to provide 250 backpacks filled with school supplies, we know many more children could have benefited from our support.

This year, we’re setting a bigger goal:
No child should walk away without a backpack for school.

On August 8, families from across our community will attend our annual fair to access health resources, community services, and back-to-school support. We are currently collecting donations to fund our Backpack Drive so that every child who attends can start the school year prepared and confident.
