🙌 Congratulations to Executive Assistant Chief, Lonzo Anderson for being honored with the Distinguished Service Award and Derrick Battie for receiving the Public Safety Leader Award.
🚨 A $50,000 check was also presented to Dallas Police Chief, Eddie Garcia to continue with crime reduction efforts. It was great to see many friends and community leaders. I look forward for what’s to come for our Dallas community. ¡Adelante!

The Rotary Club of Dallas meets every Wednesday at noon, this week our speaker, Dr. Robert Hunt shares his insights on Maintaining Civil Society During COVID.
We also had, a guest appearance from our fabulous Rotary District 5810 Governor Beverly Grogan. Along with an important announcement concerning our RCD Charity Golf Tournament benefiting Safer Dallas Better Dallas from Chairperson, Brent Holtz.
This Memorial Day Weekend join White Rock Partnership to Honor Our Heroes -- our police officers, first responders, military, and frontline health care and essential workers.
Together White Rock Partnership and Safer Dallas Better Dallas are posting 50+ "Honor Our Heroes" signs and banners across East Dallas to commemorate their service and to remind us as a community to pray say thank you. As WR Partnership lights up downtown on memorial day, I ask each of you to take some time to thank and pray for our service men and women who do so much for us day in and day out.

Lt. Quigg has made significant contributions over the course of his career towards mentoring young people and protecting and serving residents of Dallas from crime.

Public Safety Leader Award (Individual)
John has served on the board of the Rotary Club of Dallas, currently sits on the Safer Dallas Board of Trustees and the Northeast Regional Board of the United States Green Building Council. John has given 100’s of hours of service championing the DPD Starlight Program and is well known for his dedication to improving the quality of life for the DPD Officers. He has led the initiatives of “Thank A Cop”, created the “Down” Room in the City’s 911 Center, and is spearheading providing new high performance vests for the entire K-9 team.
