Some relationships and partners in ministry are too good not to share. Keystone Family Alliance
“INSPIRED”
Sometimes art is therapeutic, sometimes art is commissioned and then there is art that is inspired.
A friend gave me this oar as a gift over a year ago and told me to create something with it. It was a plain brown oar until today. I’ve held onto it waiting for the perfect image to come to me. Even more years ago, I would do word studies on specific words found in the Bible. Shalom was one of those words. I was inspired by what the word meant in so many different aspects of life. Most people understand it to mean peace, and it does mean that. But Shalom, is so much more than peace.
Shalom represents completeness, restoration, and well being in every aspect of life, including relationships with God’ and His relationship with humanity, meaning you and me.
• It represents a blessing – to provide security, provision and healthy relationship
• It represents a Covenant with God representing faithfulness, fellowship and symbolizes communion
• It represents the Messiah as the Prince of Peace – offering restoration
• In Psalms it reflects inner harmony and well being
• It Signifies the ultimate wholeness and redemption
Over the last weeks and months God has allowed a lot of uncertainty, health concerns and changes to take place in my life. Through it all, I remained calm, took one day at a time and tried to breathe when I could. It’s been non stop since October.
Through it all, life continued on, and at times I felt left behind, unseen, even uncared for. But then, there’s God. He knows our heart, he knows our desires, He knows and sees it ALL!
This year TWIGS had the honor of partnering with Keystone Family Alliance. It has been an amazing partnership. One that has refreshed my soul, offered freedom, and has even brought deeper healing.
When we talk about relationships, I believe these are the type of relationships God intended for us to have. It has been an absolutely beautiful experience.
Recently, I was having a conversation with a woman that attended one of the events I spoke at for Keystone. She closed the conversation with Shalom. It immediately made me smile as I remembered what Shalom meant. She has her own purpose for using the word Shalom and it is beautiful just like she is. The image God gave me at that moment was and image of her as the sweetness of the morning dew. Refreshment, nourishment, a new beginning.
With that I was inspired to create a daily reminder of Shalom that hangs in my home and I remembered the oar. So, todays art is INSPIRED!
