Good morning, Anna! 🌅

The coffee isn’t the only thing that’s fresh this morning.

If you’re traveling southbound on the US 75 frontage road at FM 455 (White St.), you’ll notice fresh pavement markings after TxDOT completed restriping to help traffic move more efficiently through the intersection.

What’s changed?
• A dedicated through/left-turn lane from the southbound US 75 frontage road to eastbound FM 455.

Coming soon:
• An additional left-turn lane from eastbound FM 455 to the northbound US 75 frontage road will be completed soon.

Have a great Thursday and drive safely! 🚗

Every week, our Community Services team is out visiting parks across Anna, checking for preventative maintenance needs and making sure our parks stay safe, clean and ready for everyone to enjoy.

But we can't be everywhere at once.

That's where you come in. If you spot a broken bench, damaged playground equipment, irrigation issue or anything else that needs our attention, report it through SeeClickFix. Your report goes directly to our team so we can investigate and respond as quickly as possible.

Think of it as being our extra eyes and ears. Together, we can help keep Anna's parks fun, safe and beautiful for everyone.

Report an issue anytime: AnnaTexas.gov/SeeClickFix.

In the latest episode of Council Corner, Council Member Elden Baker sits down with Community Services Director Jeff Freeth to discuss the future of parks, trails and recreation in Anna.

Key takeaways:
• The newly updated Parks and Recreation Master Plan was shaped by feedback from more than 800 neighbors
• Top priorities include expanded trail connections, more shade, additional park amenities and recreation opportunities for all ages
• A recreation center feasibility study is underway to help determine what a future facility could look like
• Results of the feasibility study are expected to be presented to City Council in late summer or early fall
• The Parks Master Plan serves as a roadmap for future investments while encouraging continued neighbor feedback along the way
• Community input will continue to play a key role as Anna plans for future parks, trails and recreation amenities

As Anna continues to grow with intention, your feedback helps shape the parks, programs and spaces that future generations will enjoy.
