American consumers need free trade. The new Trump trade war with Canada is a glaring example of how bad U. S. tariff policies are. No president should have unilateral tariff authority. Congress must repeal the Trump Tariffs and the laws that allow him to bypass the congressional legislative process for imposing taxes.
