This weekend, Downtown Dallas was host to the PacWest Motorcycle show!

In April of this year, the Economic Development team was made aware that this event needed a new home after the closure of Oak Knoll Golf Course. The team reached out to event organizers and learned what they needed to make this event a success! Staff were able to help the PacWest team through the necessary permitting process, allowing for this wonderful event to take place this past weekend!

We are so happy to see that the event was a success, and we can't wait to see what the 2027 show brings!

(DALLAS, OREGON) -- The Dallas Urban Renewal Agency is excited to open applications for the revamped Urban Renewal Grant Program for the 2026-2027 fiscal year.

The Urban Renewal Agency created the Grant program to carry out the goals and objectives outlined in the Dallas Downtown Urban Renewal Plan. In 2026, the Agency’s Board of Directors made substantive changes to the grant program with the goal of facilitating transformative change in the Downtown Urban Renewal District.

Building owners can apply for up to $5,000 for technical assistance projects, which may include hiring an architect, engineer, or other design professional to help plan a construction project. Building owners and authorized tenants can apply up to $25,000 for construction projects. All applications must meet the requirements outlined in the grant guidelines. Applicants will have six weeks to apply. Each application will be scored based on a rubric provided during the application process and be presented to the agency for approval.

On Monday, City of Dallas Economic Development staff, along with the staff of the Cities of Monmouth, Independence, and Falls City, welcomed Oregon Chief Prosperity Officer Tim Knopp to Polk County to discuss economic growth in the region.

Our discussions focused on the changes that can be made at the state level to improve the business climate and support our local businesses as they continue to invest in our communities.
