DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED


The primary goal of ‘Courage To Change, Inc.’ is providing shelter, food and clothing to citizens who are homeless and/or on parole from drug/sex offenses. By providing safe, faith-based low-cost housing, this service is intended to assist in readying these citizens for a systematic re-entry into society. This service will be funded solely from private donatio

ns of food, clothing, and financial resources from the community, individuals, corporations and a minimum service fee after 30 days from those residents who are employed. This service constitutes approximately 70% of the ministry for this organization. The projected date of startup for this program was December 2007. Education related to Chemical Dependency, MHMR, Homeless Vets and faith-based motivational training are two key tenets of this ministry. The level of understanding one has around the devastation a drug user/sex offender causes to oneself, family and society coupled with encouragement and a support system that believes in being an over comer, will directly impact the ability of that individual to stay motivated to change, Free Spiritual Counseling for the families will be provided. Ed Birts, Pastor will teach these classes three times a week. Job skills’ training/as well as Life skills is another phase of this ministry and is free to all whom attend.
