I attended Smith College in Massachusetts, where I graduated with a degree in Economics and Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., where I obtained my law degree. I eventually made my way back home to Dallas and have been serving my community in various capacities ever since. My legal experience spans 27 years in various fields of law, including corporate counsel positions in the defense telecommunications and retail industries; trial attorney and administrative judge for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission; Counsel, U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee; arbitrator panel member for U.S. Postal Service, Dallas Area Rapid Transit, Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service and NASD/FINRA; Municipal Court Judge, City of Dallas; as well as private law practice involving personal injury, commercial transactions/litigation and employment disputes.
