Reminder: Dallastown Golden Age Club next meeting coming up on May 21, 2026
Hello Club Members and Friends,
The month of May brings so many changes to things around us. The hum of lawnmowers cutting the grass, birds chirping at the first sign of daylight, fresh flowers beds spring with color and all kinds of fragrances fill the air (including ones that don’t smell too good like the skunk in our neighborhood this morning). Oh, so many things to enjoy during the month of May. And let us give thanks for living in the greatest country in the world as we remember those who have served in the U. S. military especially those who sacrificed the most to keep us free. It is a reminder that freedom and security come at a cost, and that countless individuals gave their lives in service to this country. God Bless America!
So excited for you to join us at our next Club meeting on May 21st. Meetings are now held at St. John’s Blymire UCC at 1009 Blymire Rd, Dallastown. Meetings still begin at 1 PM followed by light refreshments at the conclusion of the meeting. Come early to register, sign up for bus trips, socialize and find a comfortable cushioned seat in the sanctuary. You don’t want to miss this month’s meeting and be sure to wear your Red, White, & Blue colors!
May’s Program: A tribute to those who serve and have served this great Country. A time to celebrate our freedom and be proud to be an American. Be sure to come – bring friends – to listen to a great concert by our Golden Age Chorus!
Community Outreach Project: We will again support St. John’s Blymire Emmanuel’s Closet. Items that are needed include: Juice, Desserts, Manwich (Sloppy Joes), Mashed potatoes, Gravy, Spaghetti noodles, Beets, Cereal, Oatmeal, PopTarts, Toilet paper (no larger than 6 packs). We are also in need of strong brown paper grocery bags with handles, the kind you get when picking up grocery orders or having them delivered to your house. A donation jar for your cash or check will also be on the table if you prefer making such a donation. Make checks payable to St. John’s Blymire UCC.
See you on the 21st.
