Students participated in a CTSO Leadership Summit today at the JA Center. Student clubs included DECA, FCCLA, FBLA, Engage, HOSA, First Robotics, and Junior Civitan. We welcomed schools from Dalton High, Calhoun High, Gordon Central, and Sonoroville High! This day was filled with leadership and community development and set the stage for a great year for each club. Thank you to Mrs. Holverson, Mrs. Starks, and Mrs. Graeff for organizing such a productive and successful event!

Another one to watch! Gaby graduated from TDA last year, and we couldn’t be more proud of her! She’s a true change agent and trailblazer, making an impact and showing what it means to be .

Congratulations, Gabriela Ruelas!

We are incredibly proud to celebrate The Dalton Academy Class of 2026 graduate Gabriela Ruelas, who has been named to Junior Achievement of Georgia’s third class of Nineteen Under Nineteen: Students to Watch!

This statewide recognition celebrates 19 outstanding young people from across Georgia who are making an impact through leadership, innovation and service.

During her time at The Dalton Academy, Gabriela grew from someone who was hesitant to speak in front of a crowd into a confident communicator and leader. As a four-year 3DE Ambassador, AP Scholar, student entrepreneur and president of her school store, Gabriela continually challenged herself to grow while making a difference for those around her.

Gabriela will receive a scholarship to support her future educational goals and will be recognized at the JA Northwest Georgia Business Hall of Fame gala in March 2027.

We are so proud of Gabriela and cannot wait to see what comes next!

The Dalton Academy is hosting the PSAT Exam for ALL sophomores on September 30, 2026. This is a great opportunity to get comfortable with the SAT test format and unlock future scholarship potential!

📚 Need to study? All students have access to study resources! Go to the "Student Hub" Canvas course and locate the "SAT/PSAT Module."

Gaby is one to watch! 🌟 We are incredibly proud of all she has accomplished and can’t wait to see where her talent, drive, and determination take her next. We know this is just the beginning!

🎉 Congratulations to The Dalton Academy senior Gabriela Mojica-Nava, who was selected to attend the prestigious Georgia Ready Summer Institute at the University of Georgia this summer! Gabriela earned her spot after qualifying for the Georgia Certificate of Merit, joining just 50 students chosen from 660 applicants statewide — spending a week diving into workshops, admissions insights, and a peek at UGA's medical program. As Gabriela put it: college isn't as scary as it seems!

Way to go, Gabriela! 🏆🎓
