5:30 a.m. UPDATE: All remaining outages that occurred as a result of Friday evening's storms have been restored, and all NGEMC members have regained power. At the height of the damage, NGEMC's system had more than 90 separate outages with more than 6,000 members without power after a storm that downed lines and broke poles. Thank you for your patience while our crews worked through the night to restore power following the storms.

11:00 p.m. UPDATE: 1,084 members remain without power in 14 separate outages. Crews will remain in the field working to restore power throughout the night until all members are restored. Crews are also working to restore one last large substation breaker outage impacting 975 members in Fort Oglethorpe caused by a broken pole. They are finalizing repairs to the pole and have now located another damaged spot on the same line that will require additional repairs. The crew expects to have this outage on in the next hour.

7:00 p.m. UPDATE: Crews remain in the field working to assess damage and continue restoration work for the 2,586 members who remain without power in 48 separate outages. As crews arrive at each scene, they will assess the damage and may assign an Estimated Time of Restoration (ETOR) for the individual outage. These are updated automatically on our live outage map. Thank you for your patience as our crews continue their work to safely restore power. Our next update will be posted here at 9:00 p.m.

5:15 p.m. UPDATE: 5,374 members remain without power in 79 separate outages. Crews will remain working on the system around the clock to restore power to all members. At this time, our operations team estimates all power will be restored by 6 a.m. tomorrow morning (Sat. July 4). Due to the number and spread of outages, restoration will be a gradual process.
