The book, Dalton in the Civil War, A 150th Anniversary Retrospective, with a forward by Vince Dooley, is now available for purchase ($30) at the Freight Depot gift shop, 305 South Depot street in Historic Downtown Dalton.

Shown in the photo are three of the many local historian writers who provided articles for the book that is a compilation of the 150 articles that were published in the Dalton Daily Citizen over the 5 years of the Civil War sesquicentennial commemoration, 2011 to 2015.

This Thursday, the Dalton 150th will be putting on a stage production of the "Courageous Surrender of Fort Hill". The play is free and open to the public. It will take place at 6PM at The Emery Center in Downtown Dalton. We hope to see you there for a fun and informative evening!
