What. A. Day. ❤️
Yesterday was a beautiful reminder of what makes Damascus such an incredible community.
You all SHOWED UP!
From the moment the park opened until the final raffle, Damascus Centennial Park was filled with smiling faces, families, friends, neighbors, and visitors enjoying everything our community has to offer. The vendors were busy, the food was amazing, the dunk tank was a hit, the music kept the park alive, kids had a blast on the inflatables, and everywhere you looked people were making memories together.
None of this happens without an army of incredible volunteers. Months of planning, countless meetings, early mornings, long days, and late nights all came together because of people who care deeply about this community. To every volunteer, committee member, sponsor, vendor, entertainer, car owner, and everyone who played a part in making Day in Damascus happen—thank you. Your time, generosity, and hard work made this event possible.
Many people don’t realize that events like Day in Damascus do more than bring our community together. The proceeds raised help support the ongoing maintenance, improvements, and care of Damascus Centennial Park—work that is made possible through the dedication of volunteers who invest their time year-round to keep this special place thriving.
And to everyone who came out to support it… thank you. By spending your Saturday with us, you weren’t just enjoying a great community event—you were helping invest right back into this park and the future of events like this.
Seeing Damascus come together like this is exactly why we do it. We are so grateful for this amazing community, and we can’t wait to do it all again next year! ❤️
