Our volunteers are busy transforming the old fire station into a cozy Christmas wonderland 🎄❤️

Join us TONIGHT from 5–8pm for treats, drinks, music, and a chance to meet SANTA! 🎅✨
It’s completely free, family-friendly, and a perfect way to kick off the holiday season with our community.

We are one day away from Day in Damascus Carnival and Car Show. Today many of us will be in the park setting up attractions and booths. Scout Troop 212 is camping overnight in the park to keep everything safe and secure until Saturday when the gates open at 10 AM.

If you have attended in the past, you know how fun and exciting Day in Damascus is for the young and the young at heart. If you haven't attended before please drop by between 10 and 3 (our exciting Raffle starts at 2), to enjoy all we have to offer.

This year, in addition to the game booths, Candy in the Hay at 11, and three inflatables, we also have great food provided by our friends at Dairy Queen and Papa Murphy's. Our Spelling Bee at noon offers cash prizes for the best spellers in three categories, K thru 6th, 7th thru 12th, and Adults.

This year our car show has added a new trophy, in addition to Judge's Choice and People's Choice -- a Kid's Choice! Adults judge by certain standards, but with kids, it's the "WOW" factor. We're anxious to see which car the kids like most.

And we have many vendors we're sure you will enjoy.

Oh, and this year we have a Dunk Tank!

Have you heard about A.M.E.N., the American Military Encouragement Network? It is the goal of A.M.E.N to assist the military families of the soldiers returning from deployment that have not secured adequate employment upon their return. This is accomplished through donated and purchased food to make up boxes of well rounded meals having current (best by) dates. Food items not meeting the best by date requirement is donated to other local food pantries.

We welcome A.M.E.N. to Day in Damascus Carnival and Car Show this year, and we encourage everyone attending to bring food items to donate at their booth (canned foods, boxed mixes, etc.). Each child will be presented with a helium balloon in thanks.

Look for the A.M.E.N. booth next to the Candy in the Hay (at the basketball half court).

See you this Saturday, July 26th. Gate opens at 10 AM, and will end with our annual raffle which starts at 2 PM.

Help Wrap Up Day in Damascus!

📅 Date: SATURDAY, July 26th
🕒 Time: Starting at 3:00 PM
📍 Location: Damascus Centennial Park

At the close of the upcoming Day in Damascus, we’re looking for volunteers to help with important end-of-event tasks. If you can lend a hand, please join us!

Tasks Include:

Moving tables and chairs to the storage shed

Deflating and rolling up inflatables for trailer storage

Transporting sound equipment to storage

General cleanup around the event area

This is a great opportunity to give back, earn volunteer hours, or just help keep our park looking great.

Every extra hand makes a big difference!
