The Town of Damascus is now hiring for the 2026 seasonal positions of Damascus Farmers Market manager and Damascus Town Pool manager.

Town Pool Manager:
The Town of Damascus is seeking a qualified and experienced individual to manage our community pool from mid-April thru mid-September. Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations & concessions, ensuring safety regulations are met, managing staff & scheduling, and maintaining pool cleanliness. Requirements: High School graduate or equivalent, Valid Lifeguard certification preferred, Previous pool management experience preferred, Strong communication and organizational skills.

Farmers Market Manager:
The Town of Damascus is hiring a highly organized, community-focused individual to manage the seasonal Damascus Farmers Market. The Farmers Market Manager is responsible for the overall planning, organization, weekly operation, and promotion of the Damascus Farmers Market. This individual will serve as the primary liaison between the Town, vendors, community partners, and the public, ensuring the market operates safely, efficiently, and in alignment with the Town’s goal of economic diversification and community engagement. Additionally, this position will require administration of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) to ensure equitable food access in the local community.

Despite our tireless efforts over the past few days, we have been unable to resolve our mechanical issue, and fortune has not smiled upon us 😞. Regrettably, this necessitates the closure of The Cool Pool for the remainder of the season. Please be assured that we will persist in our endeavors to rectify this issue and will reopen next season, better equipped than ever. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to our loyal patrons, whose support has been invaluable throughout the season, as well as our new friends who have joined us. We have enjoyed a fantastic summer! We are also indebted to our sponsors, whose remarkable support for The Cool Pool this season has been a source of inspiration.

The Cool Pool will be open only on weekends from now until Labor Day. We will be closed for the remainder of this week. We apologize for any inconvenience to our patrons. It has been a wonderful season! 🌞🌞

Unfortunately, the cooler weather has resulted in a lack of visitors, prompting us to close for the day. We will attempt to reopen tomorrow.

With cooler temperatures and unforeseen circumstances, the Cool Pool will be CLOSED today, Sunday Aug. 3rd, 2025.

With the pool season drawing near to an end, our operating schedule will be as follows:

Sunday, August 3rd- CLOSED
Monday, August 4th- 4pm-10pm
Tuesday, August 5th- 12pm-6pm
Wednesday, August 6th- 12pm-6pm
Thursday, August 7th- 4pm-8pm
Friday, August 8th- CLOSED

Beginning Saturday, August 9th, the Cool Pool will be open only on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) with normal operating hours until Labor Day weekend.

Due to continuous thunder and projected inclement weather, the Cool Pool will be closed for the remainder of today (Wednesday July 30, 2025). We will re-open on Thursday beginning at 4pm until 10pm.
