🚨 PSA. While everything is green everyone has a pile to burn. Great!! Land management is a great way to keep your land healthy. But let’s talk about outdoor burning. Let’s work together and use the department resources wisely without false emergency calls.
What is a acceptable to burn
-Burning Natural Vegetation
-Prescribed Pasture burns
-Religious Ceremonies
-Cooking and staying warm
-Domestic waste (in proper burning pits or barrels)
What is not acceptable to burn
-Tires
-Your old trailer house
-Industrial, Construction waste
-Plastics
-Night time burning (w/o proper notice to authorities
Also always burn responsibly. Always burn away from structures and when burning big piles of limbs or pasture be sure to notify the fire marshals office, dispatch or your local dept.
