As we hit a stretch of unusually warm weather, here is info on a few City of Danbury cooling center options if you need them.

COOLING CENTERS June 11 - 14, 2026 🌞🌡

The Governor has activated the Hot Weather Protocol Thursday, June 11 through Sunday, June 14. The following cooling centers will be open to help residents stay safe during the extreme heat.

Anyone needing a place to get out of the heat can locate their nearest cooling center by calling 2-1-1.

Safety tips to help stay cool:
⚠️Stay hydrated.
⚠️ Run your errands early when possible.
⚠️ Avoid strenuous activity.
⚠️ Take frequent breaks to cool down.
⚠️ Check on your neighbors

Huge thank you to all those members of the Elmwood Hall Garden Club who helped beautify or grounds over the past few weeks! We couldn't have done it without you and the wonderful grant funds that helped purchase all of the flowers!

Yesterday was our first (but hopefully not last!) Puzzle-palooza! The winning team put together a 500 piece puzzle in a record one hour and twenty minutes! Congrats to all that attended.
