Danbury Animal Control
The Animal Control Division is an arm of Police Operations tasked with enforcing state and local ordinances regarding domestic animals. Animal Control Officers investigate reports of animal bites, animal nuisance, roaming dogs, and other animal related complaints including animal cruelty complaints, caring for sick and injured animals, impounding lost/found domestic animals

and managing the Animal Control Facility. During off-hours, Danbury Police Officers will respond to animal complaints, take pertinent information and forward the complaint information to Animal Control Officers for follow up. The Animal Control Facility is located at 23 Plumtrees Road. This is not a 24-hour facility, our hours are Mon, Tue, Fri. 7am-7pm and Wed., Thur., Sat., Sun. 7am-6pm. If you have an animal related complaint, please call the Animal Control Officers at (203) 748-6456. During off-hours, please call the Danbury Police Departments routine complaint line at (203) 797-4611. While we will respond to investigate reports of sick or injured wildlife, we are statutorily forbidden from interfering with healthy nuisance wildlife. If you are experiencing wildlife caused problems and are unable or unwilling to resolve the situation yourself, you will most likely be referred to a Nuisance Wildlife Control Operator. of Energy and Environmental Protection maintains a list of licensed NWCO’s on their website, they can also be reached anytime at (860) 424-3333. Adoptions take place on Saturday's and Sunday's from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Dogs can be seen during the week by appointment.

🎉🎉REUNITED🎉🎉
After six long days, Dante is finally home! What a journey. There were many sightings, but he would never settle long . A pet tracking service was called in which pinpointed the area he was traveling. Posters we’re put up and flyers were handed out. A drone service came in to fly, traps were set up feeding stations to no avail. Finally the owner got a call that he walked into their barn and he shut the door. It surely took a village to get Dante home. Thanks go out to Kelly from Lost Pet Search dogs, MIKE from Heat Seeker DRONE services, DGRV Jill and Melissa for helping to set up traps and feeding stations, DGRV Bonnie for helping to coordinate each new step of the search. To all the people who helped search, and to the Good Samaritan, who finally was able to give this journey a happy ending, we appreciate and thank you all for your devotion in finding this dog. Welcome home, Dante!!!!!!! Your family was so devoted 24/7 in finding you. We wish you a happy and healthy life together.

MISSING IN NEWTOWN
This handsome guy was in his yard with his grandpa and took off running there have been a few sightings of him running. Please do not chase him. If you see him he is very timid and will only run. Please just call in the sightings immediately to the number on the flyer.
