⭐ The first week at Piedmont Elementary was powered by positivity, teamwork, and Panther pride!

Principal Julie Allen, Assistant Principal Bill Walker, and the entire PES team brought an abundance of energy to the first week of school. From encouraging messages in hallways to welcoming greetings at the doors, students were surrounded by support throughout the first week.

As former PES students passed through the building to change buses on their way home, familiar faces reunited for quick greetings, waves, and smiles that brought a little extra joy to each day. The car and bus rider "dream team" kept everything moving safely and smoothly while making time for those special connections.

From arrival to dismissal, Piedmont Elementary School is truly "Raising Panthers The Patriot Way." Wishing the entire PES community a year filled with learning, laughter, and memorable moments!

🐾 A few more first-week moments from Talbott Elementary School! The "Wildcat Welcome" didn't stop at the front door. Principal Sandi Ramey and the entire TES team worked together throughout the week to help students safely navigate bus lines, car rider procedures, and afternoon dismissal. From helping students find their way to coordinating behind the scenes, their teamwork helped keep the first week running smoothly.

Here's to many more great days ahead at Talbott Elementary School!

⭐ Some of the best first-week moments are the simplest ones. At Jefferson Elementary School, those moments included the enthusiastic smiles of staff, encouraging messages, festive balloon displays, and students excited to start a new year. One student even reached out to hold Principal Craig Day's hand on the way into school, a small reminder of the trust, care, and connections that help make a school feel like home.

We can't wait to see all the ways JES students learn, grow, and shine this year!

🍎 We have a few more rounds of first-week excitement as we head into the weekend! Mt. Horeb Elementary School Principal Dr. Sam Hollingshead, Assistant Principal Andi Potts, and the entire MHES team were thrilled to welcome students this week. From the front office to the classroom, there was no shortage of smiles, fist bumps, hugs, warm classroom welcomes, and cozy library nooks ready for young readers.

And then there was Mr. Frank! The MHES custodian spent the summer waxing the halls while also growing giant pumpkins and watermelons in the school's garden. One of these enormous pumpkins was proudly on display to help welcome students back for the new school year.

Here's to a wonderful year of learning, growth, and new adventures at Mt. Horeb Elementary School!

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ We are so grateful to American Legion Post 113, Jefferson City, for their gracious presentation of flags to support our schools. Flags such as these are used to replace those in need of retirement, ensuring our schools continue to honor our great nation and those who served while proudly reflecting the values of excellence, service, and respect that define The Patriot Way.

Members of American Legion Post 113 are pictured presenting the flags to Director of Jefferson County Schools Dr. Tommy Arnold at the Jefferson County Department of Education.
