After the final diploma was awarded and the ceremony concluded, the celebration was just beginning.

Graduates reunited with family members, embraced friends, posed for photos, and reflected on an unforgettable milestone. Smiles, laughter, and happy tears filled the amphitheatre as the Quinebaug Middle College Class of 2026 celebrated years of hard work and achievement.

These moments remind us that graduation is about more than earning a diploma. It is about the relationships built, the challenges overcome, the memories created, and the community that supports students along the way.

While their time at QMC has come to an end, the impact these graduates have made on our school will continue for years to come.

🎓✨ Celebrating the Quinebaug Middle College Class of 2026 ✨🎓

Yesterday evening, family, friends, faculty, staff, and community members gathered at the Richard C. Berry Amphitheatre on the campus of CT State Quinebaug Valley to celebrate the accomplishments of the Quinebaug Middle College Class of 2026.

The ceremony featured inspiring remarks from student speakers Yudhvir Sidhu, Jasmine Elise Gonzalez, Connor Michael Frank Domanic, and Salutatorian Natasha Miller, who reflected on their experiences, growth, and hopes for the future.

Graduates were also honored by commencement speaker Dr. Tanaya Walters, Associate Dean of Student Development at CT State Community College Quinebaug Valley. Dr. Walters encouraged the Class of 2026 as they prepare to embark on their next journeys and reminded them of the impact they can have on the communities around them.

Throughout the evening, students were recognized for their achievements, leadership, perseverance, citizenship, and commitment to QMC's core values of Inspiration, Kindness, and Respect. Special awards celebrated those who have made meaningful contributions to our learning community and exemplified the very best of Quinebaug Middle College.

As an early college public magnet high school, QMC provides students with opportunities to earn college credit while completing their high school education. The Class of 2026 embraced those opportunities, earning an incredible 902 college credits and generating more than $210,600 in college tuition savings for students and their families.

As tassels were turned and graduates crossed the stage to receive their diplomas, one chapter came to a close and another began.

Congratulations, Class of 2026! We are proud of all you have accomplished and excited to see what comes next.

🎓 The Moments Before the Milestone 🎓

Before the caps were tossed, diplomas were awarded, and the celebration began, the Quinebaug Middle College Class of 2026 gathered together one last time as students.

In the gym, excitement filled the air as graduates adjusted caps and gowns, shared laughs with friends, took photos, and reflected on the journey that brought them to this day. For many, these were the final moments before stepping into a new chapter of their lives.

As an early college public magnet high school, QMC challenges students to think beyond what is possible and pursue ambitious goals. The Class of 2026 embraced that challenge every step of the way.

From freshmen finding their place in our community to seniors preparing to walk across the stage, these students have grown into leaders, scholars, artists, athletes, innovators, and compassionate citizens.

The next stop was the Richard C. Berry Amphitheatre. Graduation awaited.

Come explore a gallery of student artwork created throughout the school year and celebrate the creativity, dedication, and growth of our artists. Each student selected two pieces for inclusion in the exhibition as part of their final course assessment.

Be sure to check out the event posters and promotional materials as well, all designed by students in our Drawing & Design I and II classes!

🎓✨ Last Friday, June 5, the Quinebaug Middle College community came together to celebrate one of our favorite traditions—the Senior Grad Walk!

Following our annual Senior Breakfast, members of the Class of 2026 received their caps, gowns, and honor cords before making their way through the halls of QMC for their Senior Grad Walk.

With students and staffulty lined throughout the building, our seniors were greeted with cheers, applause, smiles, and well wishes as they walked the hallways one of the last times as QMC students. ❤️🖤🤍

It was a powerful reminder of how far they have come and the impact they have made on our school community. We are incredibly proud of the Class of 2026 and excited to see where their next chapter takes them.
