For the first time in years, The V-Spot isn't available to us on our usual Tuesday night, so for one night only, the NEPA Scene Open Mic is coming to the stage of Breaker Brewing Outpost in Archbald this Tuesday, Sept. 1! Because they're not open as late, we'll be starting the show earlier than we typically do at 6 p.m. Join us for dinner and drinks!
Breaker Brewing Outpost is the northern satellite outlet for Breaker Brewing Company with a rotating selection of 12 beer taps and limited releases. In addition to locally brewed craft beers, the restaurant offers a unique food menu with weekly specials, mixed drinks, cocktails, and wine that can be enjoyed inside or outdoors in the pet-friendly beer garden.
This free, all-ages event will give up-and-coming and established local musicians, comedians, actors, performance artists, and more a platform to showcase their talents in front of a new crowd, meet other artists, and hang out together while giving each act some extra publicity through the live stream and photos.
Sign-ups are from 5 p.m.-7 p.m., and while a limited amount of sign-ups may be accepted after that, arriving early guarantees a spot. Every act receives between 10 to 15 minutes of stage time, depending on the turnout that night. The show starts at 6 p.m. and runs through 9 p.m. Original material is encouraged.
All ages are welcome, though it is an uncensored show, so expect some strong language and themes from some of the performers as the night goes on.
