“Like” our page, and visit often to learn about our parks and any future events we may have planned! You can enjoy the park's rich scenery while camping, picnicking, swimming or hiking. The North Entrance for day use visitors features a picnic area with tables, g

rills, restrooms, playground, natural stream-fed pool, and entrance to the hiking trails. The park offers a variety of play fields that include: Playgrounds, Tennis Court, Baseball Field, Volleyball Court, and Basketball. Hikers can choose among 3 hiking trails which are all about 1 mile long with quite a bit of stairs making them moderately difficult. The park's beautiful gorge trail begins at our stream-fed pool in the North Entrance and passes by 3 major waterfalls. The Rim Trails climb the towering cliffs through the woodlands that overlook waterfalls and fascinating rock formations. Due to the nature of our trails they are not accessible to wheelchairs, medical walkers, or strollers.

88 campsites, 1 group campsite, and 8 rustic cabins are scattered in the woodlands above the gorge in the South Entrance to the park. The campground does not offer electric or water on campsites or in the cabins, but there are comfort stations in each loop and a dump station. The park also offers 2 rentable picnic shelters that are perfect for hosting a family reunion, birthday party, graduation, or BBQ. During the winter season, most areas of the park are closed to the public including the South Entrance, playgrounds, playfields, and all hiking trails. These areas remain closed until the following spring after cleanup and safety inspections are complete. The North Entrance is open year round and visitors may enjoy walking through the picnic area. https://parks.ny.gov/parks/stonybrook/details.aspx

HARRIET HOLLISTER SPENCER STATE RECREATIONAL AREA is located just South of Honeoye Lake in Canadice, NY. The main park and parking lot is located on Canadice Hill Road where you can find 22.83 miles of multi-use trails for hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and a snowmobile route. With an elevation greater than 2,000 feet, the dense woodland receives far more reliable snow cover than elsewhere in the region, making it a prime destination for winter activities. The park is open daily from sunrise to sunset. Overlook Road leading into the park from the parking lot, passes by a spectacular view of the length of Honeoye Lake. On a clear day, visitors can see the city or Rochester and Lake Ontario to the North. Please note, Overlook Rd is a seasonal road only available from May 1 through Late October. There is a small picnic area with tables and benches located in the main park. Waterless toilets are available, but there is no electric or running water at the site. Hunting (large game) is permitted in designated areas during designated seasons, see Hunting for more information. https://parks.ny.gov/parks/harriethollisterspencer/maps.aspx
