The Barn Workshop is selling fine craft at the Topsfield Fair through October 9, 2017. We have ceramics, jewelry, glass, and photos, and handcrafted aprons (for adults and children) and pillowcases, all by New England artists. In addition, sculptor, Jeffrey Briggs is demonstrating at the Fair every day. Come visit us in the craft area, which is close to Kiddeland.

Summer 2017 Classes start this week!

*Mixed - Hand building / Wheel Throwing techniques*: All levels of experience but must have some experience working with clay and to be able to work independently. Learn the basics of working with clay. Explore form and function through slab work, coil and pinch pots and forms, and surface treatments. Explore wedging, centering, and throwing forms from mugs, to bowls, plates, etc.

June 06, 2017: Tuesday AM: 9 to 11:30AM
June 08, 2017: Thursday PM: 7 to 9:30PM

*Beginners Only - Wheel Throwing techniques*: Designed for those interested in clay but have never touched it before or if new to working on the wheel. Learn the basics of working with clay. Explore form and function through slab work, coil and pinch pots and forms, and surface treatments. Explore wedging, centering, and throwing forms from mugs, to bowls, plates, etc.

Through lectures, demonstrations and one-on-one instruction, students obtain a greater understanding of the tools, methods and practices required to improve their speed, technique and overall artistic expertise.

Cost: $60.00 / Session (2 Hours), Open-ended. Materials additional
