General Information
The Peabody Institute Library is the public library for the town of Danvers, Massachusetts and is part of the North of Boston Library Exchange (NOBLE), a consortium of 28 nearby local and academic libraries. The library provides materials for borrowing in many formats: books, aud

io books, compact discs, DVDs and several museum passes. We offer many services to the public including public computers, a dedicated Homework Center for middle and high school students during the academic year and meeting room available for private rental as well as extensive cultural/recreational programming and exhibits/displays. Drop off your books and media THIS week, June 1st through 6th, to donate items to the Friends Annual Book Sale. Good condition items are accepted in the Gordon Room whenever the Library is open.

The Sale kicks off on June 9th with a special Members Only Preview night on Tuesday, June 9th from 6pm to 8pm. (Yes, you can still become a member right now or at the sale!)
Regular sale hours will be June 10th through June 13th.

LAST WEEK TO DONATE FOR OUR PET FOOD DONATION DRIVE

Please join us in helping our community by participating in our Pet Food Donation Drive in collaboration with Pawsitive Pantry for the month of May in honor of National Pet Month. Donations will be given to the People to People Food Pantry in Danvers to help out our community. The last day to drop off your donations will be on Saturday, May 30 before 5pm in the Standring Room.

Thank you so much to all who have donated throughout the month, we greatly appreciate your donations to help out the community !

"Meditation for Peace and Well Being"- Thursday, May 28- 7:00 PM

Join Dave Buck long time meditator for this deep and engaging meditation workshop. Dave lectures regularly on the benefits of meditation. During this workshop she will talk about the journey of finding lasting peace , happiness and a greater sense of well being. He will share a simple technique of spiritual meditation (explained and practiced during the session) that can help us achieve a lasting state of peace and happiness found through no outer experience. For new or advanced meditators.
