As of Friday, April 24, 2026, the National Weather Service has declared Pittsylvania County to be under "severe drought" conditions. The County is expected to see below normal precipitation for the foreseeable future. Accordingly, Christopher Key, Pittsylvania County Director of Public Safety, has imposed a ban on open burning on the entire County effective 12 Noon today until further notice. We are delighted to congratulate Rebecca Neal, our Class of 2025 graduate, on her remarkable accomplishment. A year ago, Rebecca joined as a Junior Member and has now become a full member. She plans to attend DCC in the fall. We are extremely proud of her achievements and wish her all the best in her future endeavors.
