The Danville VA Police Department is proud to introduce B.E.A.C.O.N. — Building Engagement and Community Outreach Network, our new Senior Citizen Wellness Check Program.

B.E.A.C.O.N. is designed to provide scheduled check-ins with seniors in our community—especially those who may live alone or benefit from an additional point of connection and support.

Through this program, we hope to:
💙 Reduce isolation
💙 Build meaningful relationships
💙 Provide regular wellness check-ins
💙 Identify needs or concerns
💙 Connect seniors with helpful community resources

Our seniors deserve to know that they are seen, valued, and connected.

Sometimes a simple call can make a BIG difference.

Motors at the Mall is THIS SATURDAY! We are so excited to see you there. Some notes for you all:

🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 Groups of 5 or more: Contact Sgt. D.C. Ferguson at 434-797-8898 ext. 1 to reserve a spot to guarantee your party can stay together.

🚗 Parade: Arrive by 2:30 p.m. and meet us at the former Sears parking lot (behind Aspen Dental) to participate in the vehicle/bike parade.

🍽️ Food: Special thanks to Chuck Eskey for the use of his lot at Eskey Realty for food vendors. Come out and enjoy all sorts of eats and treats!

❗ And don't forget: Bring your tents and umbrellas to stay cool. There's bounce houses and activities for the kids. Finally, THANK YOU BELK for the use of your parking lot!
