A few weeks ago I filed papers in our Elections Office to run again for my County Supervisor Seat in the March 2024 Primary Election.

I am truly grateful and happy to announce that no one chose to run against me! I was first elected to this seat in 2012, and ran unopposed in 2016 and 2020, as well

Congratulations to my friend and colleague Diane Burgis who is also running unopposed!

I look forward to continuing to serve our community for four more (technically 5, because my next term doesn't begin until January 2025) years!

It is one of my favorite times of the year, where we get to honor the outgoing mayors of the 6 cities I represent, who work tirelessly for their constituents.

Tonight Cindy Silva finished her term as Mayor of Walnut Creek and Robert Storer as Mayor of Danville. Both are outstanding leaders who I truly enjoy working with on so many issues.

It’s been a busy week in District 2 with welcoming remarks at the Menorah Lighting in the new City Center in San Ramon, followed by a fabulous San Ramon Valley Christmas Concert in Danville on Sunday; Monday I was delighted to swear in the newly elected members of the Orinda Union School District and say farewell to Board Member Julie Rossiter; Tuesday I honored outgoing Orinda Council members Eve Phillips and Dean Orr; and Wednesday I attended Moraga’s Council meeting to present proclamations to former Mayors Dave Trotter and Teresa Onoda as they left the Town Council. We are so fortunate to have so many smart, caring people willing to step up and serve in local office.
