4:50 pm- Service has been restored. The crew members were able to quickly repair the downed power lines caused by the vehicle accident.

Initial post: A vehicle accident on Piney Forest Rd has caused a large outage in the north Danville area for approximately 1,000 customers. Crews are arriving to evaluate the damaged pole and determine how long repairs will be. We will post more information when it becomes available.

The wait is over! The Rapid EV Charger at the Danville Visitor Center has been replaced after being damaged in this past winter’s storm. It is available for use now!

The boil water advisory has been lifted after laboratory testing confirmed the system meets all Virginia Department of Health safe drinking water standards.

Here’s what to know this Friday morning: The first round of water samples met state safe drinking water standards. A second round will be collected today, with results expected Saturday morning. The boil water advisory remains in effect until all testing requirements are met. We will notify the public as soon as it is safe to resume normal use. When the advisory is lifted, we will also provide clear guidance on the steps customers should take before returning to normal water use.
