Despite the torrential rains, we still had a handful of people show up for our All About Watersheds/Watershed Walk with McCloud Nature Park! We got to see a monarch caterpillar as well as other cool wildlife and native plant species!

⚠️⚠️ Don't drive or wade into floodwaters! We've had a lot of rain recently, and it's a good time to remind young drivers and kids about the hazards which can include:
🌊 Moving water is STRONG! It only takes about 6 inches to knock an adult off their feet, and about 12 inches to float a car.
🪵🪾 Hidden debris can injure or entrap people.
☣️ Pathogens and toxic chemicals can be washed in from 💩 animal waste, sewage, streets, and yards.
⚡️ Submerged or downed power lines can energize standing water creating an electrocution risk.
