26-27 School Information
*FOCUS ACT- Students will not be allowed to have a cell phone, air pods/wireless headphones, or smart watches on them during the school day. These items must stay in their bookbags, in their lockers during the entire school day. No exceptions!
* 5th Graders and New Students-Open House- Sunday August 9th from 2-4 PM- this is for all 5th Grade students ONLY and NEW students in any grade level that is NEW to DMS. We will start in the DMS Gym and then move into the building/Cafeteria. You will receive your locker, 26-27 schedule and turn in any registration paperwork; utility bill within the last 3 months, Out of District Form, or Affidavit during this time! You may also bring your teacher supplies and headphones during this time. School Supplies are provided this year- we do ask for certain items and that is listed below. 5th Graders do not come to Locker Day on August 4th.
* MUST BRING---you must bring a copy of a utility bill within the last 3 months in order to receive your locker and/or Chromebook. Students who are out of district must fill out an out of district form and/or affidavit if your utility bill is in another person’s name. You can pick up these forms in the front office or print from the attached. If you would like to email your utility bill please do so; [email protected] If you do not turn this in you will not be able to move forward on receiving anything during Open House or Locker Day.
* 6th-8th GRADE LOCKER DAY/Open House INFORMATION- Tuesday, August 4th--- 6th Graders 8-9 AM, 7th Graders 9:15-10:15 AM, 8th Graders 10:30-11:30 AM. (Reminder 5th Graders do not come to this day) You will be given a form as you enter and visit each station in order to get your Chromebook and locker at the end. There will be 8 stations. Station 1- Registration for 26-27 School Year and Utility Bill/Affidavit Form/Out of District Form Turn in. Reminder- if you do not register your child or bring or email a utility bill you will not be able to move on. If need your students snapcode please call the front office at 256-773-7723. You must register them online under RETURNING STUDENT Station 2- In sure your fees are paid from 25-26 school year; Library Books, Chromebooks/Chargers, Ag, Summer School Tuition if applicable Station 3- PTO Table- Membership Donation and purchase of Danville T-shirts. Station 4- Lunchroom Free & Reduced Lunch Forms- this form needs to be filled out by all of our students it helps us with funding regardless if you qualify for free and reduced lunch. Station 5- Student Schedules for the 26-27 School Year Station 6- Chromebook and Charger- students will sign for receiving both of these. Station 7- Parent Login information for PowerSchool. Station 8- Lockers ($10- cash or check to DMS)
For Out of District Students you MUST fill out THIS OUT OF DISTRICT FORM This is the only required form for Out of District Students
For in district students you must have a utility bill within the last 3 months- you can email this form to [email protected]
For in district students whose utilities are in a different name other than a parent/guardian you must email your utility bill to [email protected] and THIS AFFIDAVIT FORM must be filled out and notarized.
You may drop the Out of District Form, Utility Bill, and Affidavit Form in the front office or you can bring these items to Locker Day/Open House.
