Vermilion Community Restoration VCR is dedicated to serving the homeless with comprehensive support in Vermilion County Illinois. to direct the Downtown Rescue Mission.

The Lord led Jerry and Linda Jones to Danville to start a street ministry after attending Christian Outreach Center in Hillsboro, MO where Jerry had taught at a small Lutheran/Charismatic Bible school. While in Missouri they were on staff at Victory Farm a ministry to those coming out of the drug culture. On returning to Danville, they founded Danville Rescue Mission In 1991 when Jerry accept th

e position as Executive director of Lighthouse Mission in Indianapolis and then moved on to Huntsville, Al. In 2014 they were called back to Danville Rescue Mission. Among other changes,they have implemented the New Life Discipleship/Recovery Program and dropped all government funding. Jerry is ordained through the Assembly of God and Linda is also credentialed through that very same organization. Their years of ministry has included evangelism which has been inter-denominational. They are natives of the Danville Area.
