What a week to finish up our last week at Friendly Town for the summer classes of 2026. Theses kids accomplished so much in the 3 days that we had class this week. The Danville Fire Department came out again and talked fire safety with us and even let us spray some water off the truck (felt good on that hot day). Carle Ambulance came out as well and talked personal safety and showed us their equipment on the ambulance. And we got a lot of driving time in outside as well this week. Again, what a fun week to wrap up the summer.

Another fun week at Friendly Town! Weather was beautiful again and the temperature was WARM! But we didn’t let that stop us from getting outside. The Danville Fire Department came out again and showed us all their equipment and even let us spray water out of one of their hoses. Hope all the kids learned something and most importantly had fun.

What a week we had! So glad we were able to re-open Friendly Town. The weather again cooperated for us and we were able to get back out and get some time on the cars learning the rules of the road. Our Friends from the Danville Fire Department came back out and taught us a few things on fire safety and they even let us take a turn spraying one of their hoses. Jerry and Drew from Carle Arrow Ambulance came out as well and talked with us about their job duties and some personal safety as well. Thank you to the kids and parents this week for coming out and spending time with us.

Due to the damage that we sustained from the storm a few weeks ago, we unfortunately will not be having Friendly Town classes the week of June 29th. Hopefully we will open back up the week of July 6th. Will post updated changes on this page.

Unfortunately, due to the recent storm damage at Lincoln Park and the work that is being done to get it cleaned up, we are going to have to cancel classes for next week (June 22-25). I will be reaching out to everyone that is signed up for next week classes and attempt to get you rescheduled. If you have any questions please email me at [email protected].

Week 2 is in the books and man did it heat up this week, but we didn’t let that keep us from getting outside and learning the rules of the road and driving. Once again our friends from the Danville Fire Department came out as well and our friends from Carle ambulance. The kids were amazing again this week and I had so much fun with them. I hope they learned something and that they had fun.
