If you MUST travel during the storm, do so safely. Make sure your vehicle’s emergency kit is stocked with a blanket, extra clothes, food, water, a portable charging device and a NOAA radio. Fill up your gas tank. Charge your cellphone. If you get stranded, keep your tailpipe free of snow and run your vehicle for 10 minutes every hour to stay warm until help arrives.

Plan ahead. Once today’s storm starts, travel will be strongly discouraged.
High snowfall rates are expected, and roads will quickly become snow covered.
If you can, adjust plans now and stay off the roads. If you must travel, slow down, leave plenty of space, and give crews room to work.
