Since the closure of 15 Place in Mobile, AL, the homeless have nowhere to go for meals, a place to shower and sleep, or help with getting their identification documents restored. People become homeless for various reasons: drug use, family issues, mental issues. We know that help for the homeless here in Baldwin County is scarce, so we desire to remedy that through God's leading and through people who have a compassion for the lost or homeless. We have currently taken in two homeless ladies into our personal homes, but there is not much room. We need, and will eventually obtain through God's awesome people, a building to house them. In conjunction with other agencies, we plan to furnish meals, clothing, a bed, and job opportunities to help the homeless person get back on his/her feet. It will cost $800-$2,000 to turn this dream into a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. If you interested in helping us in this journey, please contact Robin Kemp @ 251-213-8001, or Karen Brackin @ 251-303-6346. Once we receive interest, we will open a bank account for contributions. This is just the beginning of a wonderful and satisfying adventure.
