Meet Captain Daniel Little!
Captain Daniel Little joined the Belforest Volunteer Fire Department in 2022 and brings a wealth of leadership and experience to our department. In addition to serving Belforest, Daniel is a Captain in the United States Army, where he has served as a Combat Engineer, Infantryman, Airborne Soldier, and CBRN Officer. He has deployed in support of missions to Kuwait, Iraq, the Southwest Border, and Washington D.C.

Daniel holds a Bachelor's Degree in Geology and also serves with the Saraland Fire Department.

His commitment to service, leadership, and continuous growth makes him a tremendous asset to our department and community. We are proud to have Captain Little as part of the Belforest family!

Get to know your Belforest Volunteers!

Meet Andy Earl, our Fire Apparatus Engineer. Andy served 6 years in the U.S. Coast Guard in aviation and spent four decades in law enforcement, retiring as a Chief Investigator with the State of Alabama.

Andy joined the Belforest Fire Department in 2023 and was promoted to Fire Apparatus Engineer that same year. He has completed Basic Fire Attack, Mobile Fire Suppression, and Basic Pump Operations.

Known around the Gulf Coast for his K9 War Dog charity runs, Andy helps raise money to save military working dogs that have served overseas with our armed forces. Andy is also a talented wood carver, and if you stop by our station, you'll see some of his craftsmanship proudly displayed.

We are proud to have Andy as part of the Belforest Fire family and thank him for his continued dedication to our community.

Get to Know Your Belforest Volunteers

Meet Windham Connell, a proud Daphne native who was born and raised right here in Baldwin County. At 20 years old, Windham is currently attending the Mobile Police Department's Police Academy as he works toward becoming an APOST-certified law enforcement officer. He is also employed with the Alabama State Port Authority Police Department.

A member of the Belforest Volunteer Fire Department since 2024, Windham is certified in Firefighter I and Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operations, bringing valuable knowledge and dedication to the department.

Committed to serving his community in multiple capacities, Windham represents the next generation of public safety professionals and is proud to answer the call with Belforest Fire.

The Belforest Volunteer Fire Department is excited to put our new forcible entry door into service!

Forcible entry is a critical firefighting skill that allows crews to quickly gain access to buildings during emergencies when seconds matter.

This new prop will help our members sharpen their skills and stay ready for the next call.

This past Wednesday night, the Belforest Fire Department crew had a blast hanging out with the Daphne Youth Group from 3Circle Church - Daphne Campus. From spraying water to spending time with the kids, it was a great time all around.

We truly appreciate the opportunity provided by 3circle Church and the support they continue to show our department and community.

Please help us congratulate Alabama Fire College graduates Battalion Chief Michael Aaron, Lieutenant Christopher Bishop, Firefighter Robert Jenkins, and Firefighter Greg Tarter on successfully completing Instructor 3!

We are proud of these gentlemen for continuing to further their education and dedication to the fire service. Their hard work and commitment help make our department stronger every day.

Today, we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Their courage, dedication, and selflessness will never be forgotten.

This Memorial Day, the members of Belforest Fire Department ask everyone to take a moment to reflect on the freedoms we enjoy because of those who gave everything in defense of our nation.

We also remember the families who carry the
weight of that sacrifice every day.

From all of us at Belforest Fire Department, thank you to our fallen heroes. We will never forget.
