At approximately 2:35 p.m. today, Jubilee Square 6850 HWY 90 experienced a power outage. An odor of smoke was reported in several suites.

The affected suites were searched and cleared, and no signs of fire or other emergency conditions were found.

Power was subsequently restored, and the area was determined to be safe for occupancy.

Congratulations to Johnathon Flicek on graduating from the fire academy hosted by Mobile Fire-Rescue!

Over the past 13 weeks, Johnathon has dedicated himself to challenging physical training, mental preparation, and academic instruction to become a certified firefighter.

We are proud of Johnathon and happy to have him on our department.

Meet the Firemen behind the Daphne Fire Department Station 2 Holiday Fire Hydrant! 🔥🚒

On Monday, June 1, 2026, Fire Chief Tacon introduced the team behind the popular Station 2 Holiday Hydrant! The team comes up with each design and brings it to life themselves. The City of Daphne is so lucky to have such dedicated crew members to not only keep the our beloved City safe but also festive and fun! 👏

🇺🇸 C-Shift Engine 1 & Engine 5 completed The Murph Challange in honor of Memorial Day. 🇺🇸

While wearing a 20 pound plate carrier, the crews completed 1 mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 pushups, 300 air squats, followed by another 1 mile run.

This challenge was all it cracked up to be! 🥚🪂

This past Friday, Ladder Truck 4 and Riviera Utilities helped Daphne East Elementary School’s 5th grade class with their egg drop competition, and what a fun morning it was! Even Fire Chief Tacon got in on the experiment!

Higher and higher we went until the last egg was standing! 🏆 Congratulations to the winning team!
