The City of Daphne is thrilled to have been awarded a $5 Million GOMESA Grant by Governor Kay Ivey and Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Commissioner Chris Blankenship. These funds will help construct the new pier at Bayfront Park & Amphitheater, connecting Bayfront to Village Point Park Preserve.

“We appreciate the continued support that the State of Alabama has shown during my administration with realizing the dream of a complete bay front development project,” says Mayor Robin LeJeune. “With our brand new streetscape, soon-to-be open amphitheater and plans underway for the new recreation center at the Infirmary Building, this pier will be a centerpiece for the citizens of Daphne, residents of the Eastern Shore and all visitors to enjoy.”

Great news! 🎉 Just in time for the start of the new school year, as promised, County Road 13 and Milton Jones Road Roundabout is complete and open for thru traffic!
