Engine 4 was alerted to assist Upper Darby Professional Firefighters on a house fire. Engine 4 arrived as the fourth due engine, being assigned to the basement division for fire suppression and checking for extension. Engine 4 operated for approximately 2 hours.

Engine 4 is currently attending Darby Boroughs back to school event at Helen Thomas soccer field. Be sure to stop by and maybe cool off a little!

The Officers and Members of Darby Fire Company would like to thank Gary Sinise Foundation in partnership with Comcast for awarding the company with a grant totaling $68,200.

This grant was utilized in replacing life saving equipment such as AED’s, stretchers, and maintenance plans to ensure the equipment remains ready for the citizens we serve.

We are very grateful for these individuals who are constantly assisting volunteer fire companies across the nation with large purchases that allow us to continue to provide the best service we can.

Company 4 assisted Upper Darby Professional Firefighters on a fire in the basement of a vacant hospital. Engine 4 arrived as the fourth due engine, securing a water supply. Engine 4 was then assigned to the floors above to check for extension and complete searches. This incident reached a 2nd alarm. Upper Darby Car 3 held the command.

Company 4 was dispatched to assist lansdowne_fire_company on a building fire. Chief 4 arrived to find smoke showing, and established the “Lansdowne command”. Engine 4 arrived as the second due engine, securing a positive water supply. Units located a fire on the first floor.

Truck 4 with 4 is currently assisting Monroe Energy in Trainer on a large industrial type fire. The fire has reached the equivalent of a 3rd alarm.

Please avoid the area as crews will be on scene for awhile.

Engine and Chief 4 just cleared from assisting Glenolden Fire Company Station 5 on a house fire. Engine 4 arrived as the third engine, and assisted with opening up void spaces to expose fire.

🏆 DelCo Fallen Fire and EMS Softball tournament Champions🏆

Congratulations to our members who competed today for a great cause! We would also like to congratulate Deputy Chief Melazzo, and the rest of committee for another successful year! The committee spends a lot of time setting this event up, and it wouldn’t be possible without them.

While the team was playing, Engine and Squad 4 remained staffed handling 6 calls for service.
