Every hand makes a difference!

Think about your favorite camp memories. The bunk you slept in? Prepared by a volunteer. The meals you shared in the mess hall? The plates, cups and silverware were cleaned by a volunteer. The campfire logs burning in the fire? Sawed by hard working hands. The stick free path you walk along? A volunteer was there raking and making the path clear.

From the mess hall to the bathrooms, from the trails to the roofs over your head, every corner of this camp was built and maintained by caring hands.

End-of-Year Reflections and looking forward to 2026!!!
As we close another year at Camp Peaceful Pines, we are filled with gratitude and hope. “Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever” (Psalm 107:1). This year brought meaningful worship, joyful camp experiences, and countless moments of faith, friendship, and growth. Camp touched the lives of 968 people. Campers, volunteers, staff, and supporters helped make camp a place where Christ’s love was shared and lives were impacted.
Looking ahead, we remain committed to nurturing faith, expanding access to camp, caring for our facilities and natural spaces, supporting staff and volunteers, strengthening connections with local churches, community partners, and all those who make camp a special place to be.
With thankful hearts and a hopeful vision, we look forward to the year ahead and all that God will continue to do through Camp Peaceful Pines, trusting that “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion” (Philippians 1:6).

If this cabin could talk, imagine the stories it would tell of the 77 years it has housed campers!

Stories of late-night chatter, prayers, and Bible study. Stories of kids falling out of bunk beds and guests mistakenly entering the wrong doors!

Just think of all the sounds it has absorbed: the joyful peals of laughter, the quiet sound of tears, the startled shrieks of ladies at the sight of a bat or mouse, the rumble of a neighbor's snoring, and the hushed cries of children in the dark of night.

It has silently watched young campers grow old, only to return with their own children and grandchildren. It has borne the weight of heavy snow loads during harsh winters, and kept countless campers dry during a thunderstorm and safe from bears at night.

But perhaps the greatest story of all is the memories it holds for thousands of campers young and old!

Have you ever stayed in Cabin #1, what was your most memorable experience?

We sing praise and thanksgiving to the work that was done at camp this last month!

Camp Peaceful Pines is forever grateful to the crew that diligently worked in the rain, snow and sunshine. Their accomplishments have greatly improved the camp facilities!

We are truly blown away by the list of completed tasks. The highlights include: lower fire pit seating expansion, men's and women's restroom outerwalls restoration, kitchen whole house fan and stove lighting, new ladder and doorway for the bell, cooks quarters carpeted, batery lighting in Watson, 7 new log benches for the fire circle, firewood split and shed fully stocked, new roofs on cabin #5, #9, #6, new siding on cabin 1 and installation of 8 new windows and the full completion of the NEW Cabin!

Our hearts rejoice at the work that was done, all for His Glory! Campers will be able to come to camp next season to enjoy camp a little more comfortably and for countless seasons to come!

Join us in thanking the crew, what are you looking forward to most about camp next year?

Thank you to everyone who made this season such a success — your presence and energy keep the spirit of camp alive.
As we look ahead to next summer and beyond, we invite you to continue this journey with us in the beautiful High Sierras. Like many mountain camps, we’ve faced a few significant challenges this year — including replacing our water well, generator issues, and upgrades to the septic system. Thank you to those Camp Peaceful Pines supporters who donated to meet these critical needs.

Calling all able bodies, camping season is coming to an end! Please join us for Closing Camp August 29th-Sept 1st.

Did you know camp is only open from Memorial-Labor Day Weekend? A total of roughly 100 days out of the whole year.

Winter is approaching, and the cabins need closing.

This season, Camp housed over 900 individuals. That's 900+ brothers and sisters who experienced God's presence in camp. That also means there was wear and tear on the facilities, and a few things need mending.

To find out more about what projects we're focusing on for the closing of camp, please message us! There is a task for all ages.

If you are able to join us in closing down camp for the winter, please register ASAP. This is a free weekend, but we do require registration to know how much food to prepare. Want to come just for a day? Great!! We need all the hands on deck to make the task light.

Drink from the well that never runs dry.

Water is one of the most essential elements to sustain physical life.

Last week our camp well could no longer draw up water. Some of you experienced what camp is like with little to no water. Thankfully, our physical well has been repaired!

Nothing in this physical life satisfies the hunger or thirst of our soul because the things of this world can only fill our physical thirst, it will leave us empty in the end.

Yet the Living Water of God will satisfy our longing and thirst to be totally fulfilled.

"Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” John 4:13-14

Only Jesus can supply the water that our thirsty souls need, and only He can fill the emptiness and the ache.

This water that Jesus gives is a spring of water, not a cistern. It is living, not static or stagnant. This water gives life.

Jesus is the Living well that never runs dry.

**Camp is fully run by volunteers and donations. If you would like to give to this new well, please visit our donation page**
