Congratulations to Noah Solomon, winner of the 2022-2023 Dardanelle High School Library's Reading Challenge. Noah received a gift bag and a $75 Wal-Mart gift card for reading at least 1 book per month and receiving top scores on the quizzes on the books from 9 different challenge areas.

Art 2 and Art 3 students created Wire Sculpture Self-Portraits

Each sculpture is formed with only their hands and a pair of pliers. Each sculpture is secured to a rock base that came from the banks of the Arkansas River.

Paris Enriquez's sculpture was chosen to compete in the Arkansas River Valley High School Art Competition where it was on display to the public for the month of February.

DHS Students in Mrs. Wurst's advisory recently participated in the Santas for Seniors project sponsored by the History Club to provide Christmas presents for residents of the Dardanelle Nursing Center. Merry Christmas to all from the Dardanelle High School Library Media Center!!

Students enjoyed readings of Edgar Allan Poe's "The Black Cat", "The Pit and the Pendulum", and "The Cask of Amontillado" during their lunch breaks today, along with a special treat of candy, hot apple cider or "poison" punch.

Mrs. Marple's College and Career Readiness Class is completing their final unit of study in workplace readiness before graduating. Today, students are learning how to apply for a job by learning how to complete job applications, resumes, and cover letters. Later in the unit, the students will learn how to manage their budget, credit, and complete taxes. 🎓
