McIntosh County School System joins our community in mourning the loss of Allen Bailey, a proud member of McIntosh County Academy's Class of 2007.

From Sapelo Island to the University of Miami and the NFL, Allen's journey was one of extraordinary achievement. Yet, despite his success on the national stage, he never forgot where it all began. His commitment to giving back and inspiring the next generation of young athletes is a legacy that will live on in our community.

We extend our deepest condolences to Allen's family, friends, former teammates, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

🚨 Hurricane Isaias is expected to make landfall along the Gulf coast Friday night as the first hurricane of the 2026 Atlantic season.

Extension experts advise gathering essential supplies before the end of the day. Start by collecting the basic supplies recommended for all households:

𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿
▪️ Minimum three-day supply of nonperishable, easy-to-prepare foods
▪️ Minimum three-day supply of one gallon of water per person per day
