As seen in Darien News, we are excited to welcome Cathy Durrett, daughter of artist Joe Durrett. Come by Sunday from 2-6 to meet Cathy, hear stories of her family’s history in Darien and see Joe’s wonderful art. Joe Durrett was likely the one who painted the mural of the second floor while he had a studio here in the 1960s and 1970s.

We are so honored and pleased to receive the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation’s top award, the Marguerite Williams Award. We had an amazing team that came together to do what was near impossible - save the beautiful Adam Strain. Congratulations to Saussey Engineering, Myrna Crook, Coastal Georgia Historical Society, Kieran McMullen, Southeastern Bank, the City of Darien and everyone who had a part in making this restoration a success. We received this award because of your skills, creativity, perseverance and quality craftsmanship.
