Juneteenth, celebrated annually on June 19, honors the end of slavery in the United States. The first Juneteenth occurred on June 19, 1865, when federal troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, with news of freedom for more than 250,000 enslaved African Americans.

S E R V I C E A L E R T: Maker Studio Hours

The Maker Studio is closed for training and maintenance starting Monday, June 22, through Saturday, June 27. The studio reopens on Monday, June 29, at 11 a.m.

As a reminder, the Maker Studio is an IPPL cardholder exclusive; Maker Studio appointments are available for ages 13 and up. Those ages 8–12 must have a caregiver age 13 or older accompany them. Book an appointment at makerstudio.ippl.info.
