The Darlington Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a subject involved in vandalism at several properties in the areas of Southern Pine Street, Limit Street, Kirven, and Bacote.

Community Unity Meeting

The Darlington Police Department, Darlington County Sheriff’s Office, Darlington Housing Authority, and staff from the Darlington County School District would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended the Community Unity Meeting.

The Darlington Police Department is warning residents about scam calls threatening arrest unless immediate payment is made.
Remember:
• The Darlington Police Department and other law enforcement agencies will NEVER call to demand money to avoid arrest or clear a warrant.
• Government agencies (IRS, Social Security Administration, SCDMV) and financial institutions will never call to request passwords, Social Security numbers, bank account information, or other sensitive personal information.
If you receive a suspicious call:
• Do not provide personal or financial information.
• Do not send money or purchase gift cards.
• Hang up immediately.
