Wages

$22.84 with an annual salary expectancy of $66,497 W/State Benefits, SC Retirement, Vacation, paid Holidays and Sick Leave Benefits.

Also based on eligibility you may receive a 2.75% retention incentive bonus, based on your base yearly wages, in November each year.

We have an exciting announcement! We have updated some vital tools on our ambulances that will enable us to provide better and safer service in Darlington County.
Our first upgrade is our new Stryker LifePak 35 cardiac monitors. This is an ultramodern technology that is a game changer for EMS providers. They have features like cprINSIGHT. This can find shockable rhythms during chest compressions to help reduce pauses in compressions. Another highlight is Live View STJ Insight that provides graphical ECG representation to help diagnose myocardial injury - what might be seen with a heart attack.
Secondly, our ambulances were recently outfitted with PowerLoads and new stretchers. These new tools will work together to make moving patients safer. The PowerLoads can lift seven hundred pounds – unassisted! The stretchers are equipped with new features like lighting beneath to see the ground in poor visibility, retractable foot sections for access in tight spaces, and a transport handle allowing them to be adjusted to lower positions for safer movement.
We are proud to serve our county and committed to providing excellent care for all patients. These innovative tools help to provide safe, quality care to all patients.

‼️Update - Burn Ban Has Been Lifted

We would like to remind the community that burning at this time can be very dangerous, leading to property damage, increased injuries, and even fatalities. The fire district has responded to nearly a dozen calls for outdoor fires spreading due to these conditions today.

‼️Update - Burn Ban Has Been Lifted

Current weather conditions such as increased winds, lower relative humidity, and minimal or no precipitation make management of outdoor burning more difficult than normal. Current weather forecasts do not indicate these conditions improving in the immediate days.

The unincorporated areas include all areas outside of any city or town limits in Darlington County. We would like to remind the community that burning at this time can be very dangerous, leading to property damage, increased injuries, and even fatalities. Fire departments in the county have responded to nearly 30 calls for outdoor fires spreading due to these conditions just this week.
We strongly ask the public to adhere to this ban and not to conduct outdoor burns until conditions improve. Updates on the ban can be found on the Darlington County Fire District page.
