Every voter across Dartmouth and New Bedford deserves absolute confidence in our election results. 🎥👇

Yesterday, an email was circulated by my opponent claiming victory, alleging that 51 ballots were left 'uncounted,' and suggesting that someone is trying to 'take the election away.'
Let’s set the record straight: nobody is taking an election from anybody.
Earlier this afternoon, I spoke directly with the Town Clerk’s office. The claim that 51 ballots were left uncounted is simply false. Those hand-tallies from election night will be added to the unofficial count. This entire district-wide race will come down to just over 10 votes.
When an election comes down to just over 10 votes, the outcome may change or it may not. But that is why Massachusetts law provides a recount process. Moving forward with a full, district-wide hand recount is the responsible way to guarantee that every legal vote was accurately recorded and that voters have total certainty in the final outcome.
Rushing to declare victory, spreading misinformation about uncounted ballots, and attacking the integrity of our local election staff is wrong—especially coming from a Democratic candidate.
We welcome complete transparency. If every legal ballot is hand-counted and my opponent is ahead, he will have my respect as our nominee. And if we pull ahead, I will proudly lead our party into November. That is how democracy works.
