Dartmouth September 11th Ceremony

This year will mark the 20 year anniversary of the attacks on our nation on September 11th, 2001. Though much has happened over the past 20 years, we will never forget the nearly 3000 people who perished that day. The Dartmouth Veterans Advisory Board would like to honor those men and women with a small, dignified ceremony to be held at Dartmouth Memorial Stadium, (rain or shine) on Saturday, September 11th, 2021 at 11am.
The Dartmouth Veterans Advisory Board and the Dartmouth Veterans' Services Office cordially invites the local community to show their respect by joining us to remember those lost. Please feel free to contact the Dartmouth Veterans Agent by calling 508-910-1818 or 774-762-8301

Join us in thanking and congratulating Michael “Doc” Fernandes on his new job as a media teacher at Fairhaven Middle School. Mike began his time at DCTV as a Dartmouth High School student intern and has been working full time for us the last 8 years. He has been instrumental in providing the town with exceptional athletic coverage and educational programming. While we are excited to see him move on in his career, we are sad to see him leave us on a full-time basis. The good news is this is not goodbye as Mike will continue to work with DCTV on a part-time basis. Thank you for your years of dedication and good luck in your future endeavors.

Dartmouth and New Bedford Police Search for Missing Man

DARTMOUTH POLICE DEPARTMENT

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Thursday, July 8, 2021

Dartmouth and New Bedford Police Search for Missing Man

DARTMOUTH, MA – On Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at approximately 9:00 a.m., members of the Southeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council (SEMLEC) Search and Rescue Unit conducted a large-scale search for a New Bedford man missing since May.

The search was conducted in the wooded area located between Cross Road and Reed Road, after Dartmouth detectives received credible information from New Bedford detectives that Henry FERMINO, 61, was likely in that area on May 11th.

As FERMINO was not located during the search, Chief Brian P. Levesque and the members of the Dartmouth Police Department urge anyone who frequents the paths in the aforementioned woods to remain on the lookout for him.

If anyone has information on FERMINO’s whereabouts, they are encouraged to call either the New Bedford Police Department or the Dartmouth Police Department.

URGENT There is an urgent need in our community for our elderly. They are not able to get out due to age, chronic illness, disabilities, or not driving. We are talking about close to 200 residents. I know that is a lot but if everyone pitches in it really isn't. We have an opportunity to help the residents of Anderson Way in No Dartmouth and Sol E Mar in So Dartmouth, and the Veterans House on Route 6. We are in need of non perishable items, canned goods, paper goods, plastic gloves, masks, toilet paper, hand sanitizer, Lysol, new plastic containers to put soups being made at the church in, plastic grocery bags, and any cash donations. Drop off is at Smith Mills Church on 11 Anderson Way, in No Dartmouth behind HOPE yoga. Please go around the back of the church to the church kitchen. If possible please spray bags down before delivery. Donation time are Thursday, March 26, 8AM-10AM and 4PM -6PM. Thank you in advance.
