The crew of the Mayflower II Fuller Shallop, led by Capt. Whit Perry, docked at the Warren G. Hathaway Marina on their historic voyage through the South Coast and Islands, retracing some of the blockade running routes taken by Paul Cuffe during the Revolutionary War.

Visitors enjoyed seeing the shallop up close and meeting the ship's captain and crew, music from the Dartmouth Community Band, learning more from the various historical societies present, and a screening of Paul Cuffe Story with the film's creator and lead actor.

August is Overdose Awareness Month.

The Town of Dartmouth's Substance Use Program Coordinator has produced an important public service announcement on recognizing and responding to an opioid overdose.

The video explains the warning signs of an overdose, how to properly administer Narcan (naloxone) nasal spray, and the critical steps to take while waiting for emergency responders to arrive. It also highlights that Narcan is available over the counter and can help save a life in the event of an opioid emergency.

Knowledge can make a difference. We encourage everyone to take a few minutes to watch this important PSA and learn how to respond in an emergency.

Did you know July is Parks and Recreation Month? We just found out ourselves, but before the month ends, we wanted to give a well-deserved shout-out to the Dartmouth Parks and Recreation!

Our team spent two days this week working alongside Parks and Recreation Staff to build a new shelter for our production truck and van behind the DCTV studio. The new shelter allows us to keep our vehicles on site and will save us more than $13,000 in rental fees this fiscal year alone.

This project would not have been possible without the hard work of the Parks and Recreation and the Dartmouth Department of Public Works staff, who completed the site preparation last week.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this project a reality. We truly appreciate your hard work and partnership!

We were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Gilbert "Mr. Mad" Madrigale.

Mr. Mad was the driving force behind building the Dartmouth High School marching band into a nationally recognized program, inspiring generations of students through his passion, dedication, and love of music.

To honor his remarkable legacy, we're sharing a special clip from the 2002 DHS Pops Concert, where he was recognized for his many accomplishments.

We've also created a YouTube playlist featuring Dartmouth High School music performances from 1996–2001, preserving some of the memories and performances from his incredible years with the program: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PY_KwSDG0oE&list=PLUFiY2X9VB1s

As part of this tribute, DCTV will rebroadcast two classic DHS Pops Concerts:
🎶 Friday, July 17
• 7:30 PM – 1996 DHS Pops Concert
• 9:00 PM – 1998 DHS Pops Concert

🎶 Sunday, July 19
• 7:30 PM – 1996 DHS Pops Concert
• 9:00 PM – 1998 DHS Pops Concert

Both concerts will air on Dartmouth Cable Channel 96.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to Mr. Mad's family, friends, former students, colleagues, and the entire Dartmouth High School music community. His legacy will continue to live on through the countless lives he touched and the music he inspired.
