You still have time to obtain Lifeguard certification for this summer. If you are interested in lifeguard for DPR we will accept applications from those currently registered for certification.
Applications are due April 12th. You must be at least 16 years old by the start of the beach season to be an ocean front LG.

Attention: We are still accepting applications for summer employment, especially lifeguard positions. If you are a certified lifeguard or will receive your certification prior to the start of the beach season and would like to work for DPR, we are currently hiring. Sing, dance and act your way into the world of “Grease.” In Dartmouth Parks and Recreation's Musical Theater Class, participants aged 5 to 13 will learn what it’s like to put on a musical theater performance. Participants will audition for a role in the musical “Sandy’s Medley Excerpts.” This play is rewritten along the theme of the original musical “Grease.” Costumes are encouraged, but not necessary. Everyone involved will have a speaking role. *Limited Spots*

Our new pickleball clinic will be held this Spring, sign up to reserve your spot. See below for more information

Join other aspiring picklers at Dartmouth Parks and Recreation's 4-week Beginner Pickleball Clinic where you will learn the fundamentals of the game, the rules and the fitness to stay safe. By the end of the clinic you will be confident and able to walk onto any community court and join the game.

Once you have completed the beginner course you can move onto the Advanced Beginner Clinic where you will improve technique on serving to dinking to understanding strategy of the game and how to tactfully manage the court.

All parks including Round Hill Beach are now open. Expect a short closing of the regional park driveway late this morning as crews remove a broken limb from along the access road.

Clean up work has been completed at the Regional Park and the site is now open again.

Roundhill Beach will remain closed until further notice due to storm damage. We will post to this page as soon as we are able to reopen the site.

The Dartmouth Regional Park will be closed today as crews work to remove broken tree limbs along the roadway. This site should be reopened later this afternoon.

Due to the expected weather and the possibility of damaging surf and flooding forcasted for tonight, we will be closing Round Hill Beach later this afternoon. We will reopen the beach as soon as we can evaluate and repair any storm related damage. We will update this post once the beach is reopened.

Clean up is now complete at Round Hill Beach and gates have been reopened

Storm update:
Currently, DPR staff are working to clean and make sure that all town government facility properties and recreational sites are clear and free from hazards. However, due to extensive damage from yesterday’s storm, Round Hill Beach will remain closed until further notice. Over the next couple of days DPR staff will begin clearing the parking lot and pathways of debris. Once the site is safe we will reopen the gates. All updates will be posted to this site.

Due to storm surge and roadway flooding, Round Hill Beach will be closed today. The gate will be reopened as soon as conditions allow.

Our tree lighting event will take place tomorrow 12/10 rain or shine. All activities will take place in the Middle School cafeteria starting at 4:30pm. The tree lighting will then occur at 5:30. Access to the cafeteria will be via the doors on the townhall side of the building. Parking is available in front of the middle school. Lots of free kids activities, treats and a visit from Santa.

We are getting ready for another great trunk or treat this Saturday. This is a rain or shine event. If the weather doesn’t not cooperate we will move the trunks inside the station garage, so plan on stopping by with the kids for some treats and refreshments along with games and activities. This free event is 5-6:30 at the Bridge Street fire station.
