🚨 Atlantic Ave is now open!! 🚨 Hose testing is completed and we thank you for your patience.
In the post before we asked if anyone could guess the total length in feet of fire hose we have on hand at the fire department... 7800 feet of hose was tested today!! That’s 1.48 miles! That’s 21.66 football fields!

🚨 Road Closure 🚧
July 9th from 8:00am to mid-afternoon Atlantic Ave will be closed between 1st and 2nd street directly south of the fire hall for hose testing.
Hose testing is required by the NFPA annually to inspect each length of hose and its fittings for damage or excessive wear.
Can you guess the total length (in feet) of fire hose we have at our department?!? Check back tomorrow afternoon when hose testing is completed for the answer!!

Hose testing will take place on Thursday July 9th.
