October is the beginning of the 4-H year, and we started off with a celebration! We installed our new officers, had a club meal of tacos and ice cream, and topped it off with a few rounds of "white elephant bingo," where everyone got to go home with a new treasure!

Our December meeting was tons of fun, with a gift exchange among members; followed by making "birthday bags" for the Dassel Food Shelf with cake mixes, frosting, candles and party supplies.

As the Dassel Lamplighters 4-H Club finishes up our year (our new year starts October 1!), we have been very busy! We had the Meeker County Fair in August, as well as Performance Day, the Dog Show and the MN State Fair! We are proud of all that our members achieved, and look forward to good things in our new year. Come and check out the Dassel Lamplighters 4-H Club!

Our July meeting is one of the busiest of the year! We started off by making our club projects, two barrels. (come to the Meeker County Fair on August 1-4 to see the finished projects) Next, we saw two of our members lead their dogs through an agility course. Our members shared projects that they are working on for the fair, and we finished with a potluck!

We have reached the busy 4-H season, so we have lots of updates! In May, we traveled to a member's home for our meeting, where we had the opportunity to learn about parliamentary procedure from a wonderful community member, learned about planting seeds from some of our members and posed for a group picture!
