With so many new residents and visitors on the island, we wanted to take a moment to reintroduce ourselves and share what we do for our community each day.

The Dauphin Island Public Safety Department is proud to provide 24/7 EMS coverage to help ensure emergency medical care is always available when you need it most. Our team is here around the clock, ready to respond.

We are also committed to beach safety, including monitoring conditions and helping educate the public about the rip current flag system. Before heading to the beach, always check the warning flags and understand what they mean. These flags are there to help keep you and your family safe.

In addition to emergency response, our department works hard to promote public education, preparedness, and overall community safety. From community outreach and safety messaging to helping residents and visitors stay informed, we are here to serve Dauphin Island in many ways.

Whether it’s on the beach, at home, or during an emergency, your Public Safety Department is here for you.

Stay aware. Stay prepared. Stay safe.
